Brief details of your catches: 50 fish. 2 thirties, 21 twenties, 20 mid to high doubles and the rest pasties. Best fish went to Dan with lake record 38lb mirror and a 31lb linear. Highlights included 12 fish in one night, average weight 23lb and a lovely 21lb original grass carp that had never been see before.

What did you find were the best tactics/baits: We fished to the lilies at 220 yards using the boat for hookbait and baiting up. Also fished opposite bank where cattle appeared every day for the first week which produced amazing results at night. When fishing on silt we used pop ups, when fishing to clear patches we used bottom baits, both worked well. Fish pre-occupied with bloodworm but took to our bait, Angling Lines Specials, very well after 24 hours. Lots of bait required to hold the huge amount of fish that reside in lake, 5 kilo per rod sufficed. Fishmeal boillies worked best in conjunction with pellets, method and particles attracted small fish.

General comments: Most beautiful lake we have ever fished, an anglers paradise. Roger, the bailiff, was very helpful. Beautiful region where you can get away from it all. Everything we expected and more, miss it already!

In all we landed 44 carp, with about 30 fish being over 20lbs. What did you find were the best tactics/baits: We worked at it and fished to the far banks and overhangs. Finding solid bars paid off. Feeding areas continously. Were the facilities what you expected? Better. Were you happy with them? Yes great shower, big freezer.
